MiteOS
MiteOS is a small data recorder for mitey data collection out in the field. The platform can interface with a myriad of sensors, with data redundancy and careful data collection built in. It uses the GPS on the device to record your location and your sensor states, then notes and even voice notes! This page is a faithful, playable simulation of the real firmware. Try to break it: pull the power during a save.
Durable by design
Every save is a transaction and has multiple subsystems to deal with power loss. Press ⚡ during the SAVING screen: on reboot the journal restores exactly one row, never zero, never two.
Honest sensors
A probe read takes three frames, one second apart, keeps the median, and reports spread. Timeouts and other errors show as errors, not zeros (X injects one).
Identifiers that survive
Sample IDs like SOIL-0001-L carry a Damm-36 check character, so one wrong letter on a wet label is caught at ingest, not in the dataset. Reserved numbers are never reused, to keep the data separate and consistent.
